to Achieve Tier 3 of NBC 9.36
This year an important discussion on residential homebuilding in Ontario, focusing on the current economic climate and Building Code developments will take place. The evening will feature a distinguished roster of speakers, informative presentations and opportunities to connect with fellow industry colleagues.
Due to limited space and high demand, this event will be by invitation only.
With future Code harmonization and the introduction of Bill 17, stakeholders need strategies to navigate local building approvals while maintaining housing affordability in Ontario. Key to this is understanding how the Ontario Building Code will change in response to future harmonization attempts.
The Low Carbon Homebuilder Coalition (LCHC) presents its CO2 emission reductions in Ontario housing on a yearly basis. Member builders use this information to inform homeowners and governments with respect to their contributions to managing climate change.
The 2026 CO2 reduction results will be presented at the dinner as well as recognizing builder achievement. The coalition is working to educate the industry on low-cost building strategies to reduce carbon emissions and provide more resilient housing.
